Friends, commonly known as Quakers, believe that there is that of God in every person. This belief is expressed in a commitment to peace, equality, and respect for the individual. Education has always been a major concern of Quakers, who founded some of the first co-educational school in the country.
Friends schools in general, and Media-Providence Friends School in particular, express Quaker values by teaching through example and by celebration of diversity and respect for individuals. We encourage intellectual growth through an excellent academic curriculum. Our small class size and diverse faculty enable us to respond to the abilities and needs of the child. We firmly believe in allowing students the opportunity to explore and consider the concepts they learn.
