The ultimate at keeping cool during the summer is hanging out at the pool. Twice a week, the campers escaped the heat to the cool waters of Knowlton Swim Club.
Guest Entertainers
Each week, visiting artists arrived at Summer Friends Camp, and entertained and involved the children with magic, animals, instruments, and puppets.
Jungle John enthralled campers with his entourage of reptiles including a 13-foot albino Burmese python and an alligator called Wally.
Bert Merriman, a storyteller, held the campers spellbound performing "Cane Tales" with the assistance of wooden puppets.
