Gifts of Securities/Stock Gifts

A gift of appreciated securities may alleviate capital gains taxes. We recommend that donors consult their financial advisor before making financial decisions.

A wire transfer is the easiest way to make a gift of stock. Call the Advancement Office at MPFS to notify us of your intent to transfer then provide your broker with the following information:

MPFS' TD Ameritrade account number: 757618939
DTC number: 0188

Your broker will give you the appropriate paperwork to complete. Please ask him/her to send notice of the gift specifics and date to:

Media-Providence Friends School
125 West Third Street
Media, PA 19063
Attn: Director of Development

If you have an original stock certificate, please call the Advancement Office at 610.565.1960 x106 for transfer instructions.

Matching Gifts

Many employers will match gifts made by current employees or retirees to non-profit organizations like Media-Providence Friends School. Your company’s human resource department will be able to provide more information about such gifts and can provide the form you need to easily double or triple the value of your contribution to MPFS.

Gifts In-Kind

Some donors take the opportunity to give to the school by providing tangible items related to our educational program. The Advancement Office can help you determine the acceptability of gifts.
