The Annual Giving, Events, and Communications Associate is a part-time position responsible for assisting with all aspects of the school’s development and communications efforts. The position reports to the Director of Development and the Director of Marketing/Communications. Development responsibilities include maintaining the development and auction databases, registering gifts, and generating thank you letters, supporting the Director of Development with development initiatives, such as the annual MPFS Fund campaign, planned giving campaigns, alumni events, and event-based fundraisers, coordinating the work of parent volunteers, and planning and managing other advancement-related school events.
The position also works closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications and has responsibility for various aspects of the school’s communications activities. These responsibilities include contributing to weekly and quarterly communications to institutional stakeholders and the production of the twice yearly Dragon Tales publication, and documenting school activities and events, compiling and disseminating electronic photo albums and/or videos.

Flexibility and capacity to work independently and collaboratively on projects and assignments;
Excellent writing and editing skills and ability to develop materials for a wide variety of institutional stakeholders;
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of constituencies;
Excellent facility with and ability to learn word-processing, spreadsheet, database, social media, and other common office and web-based tools and applications;
Enthusiasm, creativity, and initiative;
Experience and familiarity with the Friends school and/or independent school environment is a plus.
