A Conversation with Eli Eskridge MPFS Class of 2026

As we count down to graduation, we're getting to know the incredible individuals who make up the Class of 2026. Each day leading up to our graduation ceremony on June 9, we'll be posting one Q&A. Today, we're delighted to shine a spotlight on Eli Eskridge.

Describe yourself in three words. 
Smart, kind, and funny.

When you’re not at school, what activities or hobbies do you enjoy?
I like to hang out with family, play sports, go to the park, and play video games.

Who is your favorite musical artist or band? What is your current favorite song?
My favorite artist is Lil Baby.

What is your favorite television series or movie?
Cobra Kai.

What is your current favorite book?
Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds.

What grade did you start at MPFS?
Seventh Grade.

Who was your first teacher?
Teacher Jen and Teacher Kristen as advisors.

What is your favorite MPFS memory, event, or tradition? And why?
The Bear Creek trip—it was the best middle school bonding trip and event.

What interests have been sparked during your time at MPFS?
I learned I want to become an engineer.

What do you think is the most important lesson you’ve learned at MPFS?
The Criminal Justice lesson in Humanities.

What do you think you’ll miss the most about MPFS?
My friends and teachers.

If you attended the Costa Rica Trip, what do you think you'll remember the most about that trip?
I'm gonna remember the times with my friends just hanging out at the hotel, the beach, and the cool nature.

Where are you going to high school?
Friends' Central School.

Are you looking forward to trying any new activities, sports, or subjects in high school?
I'm looking forward to playing high school soccer and basketball.

Do you have an idea of what you’d like to study in college or what you might want to be when you grow up?
I want to be a mechanical engineer.

What advice do you have for next year’s middle school students?
Be cool, chill, and confident. Have fun and lock in.

Anything you want your family, friends, or teachers to know about you or your MPFS experience?
It was tremendous.
