A New Year of Fun and Learning: MPFS After School Program

Media-Providence Friends School is excited to begin another year of its After School Program (ASP), offering a safe and engaging space for students to thrive after the school day ends. From 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, the program provides a nurturing environment where children can relax, play, and explore.

This year, the ASP team, which includes T. Jacki, T. Kelly, T. Alex, and T. Debra, is committed to bringing even more creativity and variety to the afternoons. The program will feature special craft days and hands-on projects designed to spark imagination and encourage collaboration.

The commitment to providing a supportive and joyful space where children feel safe and valued is at the core of the program’s mission. Afternoons typically include a mix of outdoor play, creative activities, and a nutritious snack.

Meet the Director: Teacher Anna Mickle-Baker

The After School Program is led by the school's new Director of Auxiliary Programs, Teacher Anna Mickle-Baker. With a background in both healthcare and community involvement, they bring a passion for creating inclusive and diverse learning environments. Teacher Anna holds a Bachelor's in Anthropology and is pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science. They chose MPFS because its values align with their own, and they look forward to contributing to the school's academic excellence and community spirit.
