Our Media-Providence Friends School (MPFS) Dragons kicked off their soccer season with an electrifying home game and a triumphant win against our long-time rivals, Benchmark School! Our co-ed team, featuring students in grades 5 through 8, delivered a stellar performance. Athletic Director Tammy called it a "great game by all," and we couldn't agree more!
The energy was high, fueled by the long-standing rivalry, and our Dragons rose to the occasion with exceptional teamwork and individual brilliance.
Game Highlights & Shout Outs
The offense was on fire, spearheaded by fantastic goals from eighth graders GiGi Hamilton and Jack Diveglia.
The defense was anchored by a phenomenal effort in goal from seventh grader Lola Hamilton, whose saves kept the Dragons in control throughout the match. Special recognition also goes to eighth graders Tyrone Jones and Sydney Wood, whose hustle and strategic play were instrumental in securing this hard-fought victory.
Congratulations to the entire squad! We are incredibly proud of the energy and effort displayed against a tough opponent like Benchmark—it sets a high bar for the rest of the season.
