Finding Focus: MPFS Parent Amy Sund Brings 'Mindful Mornings' to Our Community

Here at Media-Providence Friends School, we are committed to nurturing the whole child—and the whole adult! That's why we are thrilled to host Mindful Mornings every Wednesday, a program for our teachers and students led by MPFS parent Amy Sund.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Amy for her incredible work throughout the first half of this year. Her presence has been a calming force in our hallways, and we are delighted to share that Amy will continue her program through the remainder of the school year.

Exciting news for 2026: we are expanding this practice and warmly invite our MPFS families to join us in these session! Whether you are new to mindfulness or a long-time practitioner, we hope you will find peace and connection in this shared space. For those who are able, you are also welcome to stay and join us for Meeting for Worship each Wednesday at 9:40 AM for a double-dose of mindfulness practice!

Amy is a dedicated mindfulness teacher, blending professional expertise with lived experience to inspire awareness, connection, and well-being for all ages. She is passionate about equipping our community with the tools to build healthy relationships with themselves and the world around them.

The practice of mindfulness helps us navigate the stresses of a busy school week by encouraging presence and emotional regulation. Amy has shared some of her favorite resources for families and adults looking to cultivate more peace and focus at home:
